The coalition’s goal is to advance state policy and advocacy efforts to support property tax relief for Montanans and diverse local government revenue sources that target out-of-state tourists and luxury homes.

Our coalition provides an alternative to the property tax policies put forward by Governor Gianforte’s Property Tax Task Force and those proposed by House and Senate Democrats. MUST’s proposals go further, providing equitable and effective relief to residential property taxpayers and renters across the state.
